About
Born and raised in Vienna, Austria. I am a 25-year-old artist. I have been drawing ever since I could pick up a pencil. My curiosity has always driven me, so it’s only natural that I’ve spent my life exploring different mediums. I strive to perfect classical drawing and painting techniques, but at the same time, I love creating contemporary concepts that resonate with people.
Using a mirror as a canvas is a way to directly incorporate the viewer into the artwork. It is an intersection between fine art and product.
The Rio De Janeiro filter has been a part of internet culture for a while now and turning it into a Mirror creates something very familiar and relatable that also lets the viewers literally reflect on themselves.
I discovered a new technique where I use an airbrush to lightly spray paint on the mirror to create the filter effect. After creating a stencil and spraying the letters with white paint the artwork was done.
Together with screen printing artist Michael Wegerer we created a limited hand printed edition of the Rio De Janeiro mirror as well as the Normal mirror.
The art piece encapsulates internet culture and creates a new perspective on how we view the digital world.
